The Excursion is our workhorse mitt that keeps your hands warm and dry, day in and day out at the hill. A stretch-woven exterior and a durable leather palm add up to dexterity and a natural-feeling grip for on-the-go adjustments. It features a full GORE-TEX insert with Gore Active technology for maximum breathability and temperature regulation. Primaloft® insulation and a wool fleece lining keep your digits warm.

Just what I ordered
Comfortable and warm.
Good quality, but weird sizing
The quality, warmth, features of these mitts are great and I want to love them, but the sizing is so strange. The thumbs feel 1-2 sizes too small while the rest of the mitt feels huge. I'm on the upper end of a Large size, but was told to size up to an XL because I would be wearing their Storm liner gloves with these. What I've found is that I have enough room to fit my entire fist into the mitt, but the thumb is way too tight. I can even put on my smaller winter gloves and still fit my entire fist into the mitt! For reference, my thumbs are proportional to my hand, are not large, and I've never had this issue with any other gloves besides Dakine brand. I want to use them because they're nice quality, but the sizing makes them unusable. It's bizarre. I'll be returning them.
Worth every penny
These mitts are excellent -- very warm for the coldest days and extremely waterproof for rainy days too. There probably are warmer mitts out there but when layered with the Dakine Wool Liners, my hands and fingers have never been too cold for comfort. The only negative I will say is that they are starting to show some wear in the palm after a few season of riding (roughly 20ish days a year) but that seems pretty normal. I highly recommend these mitts.
Warm and comfortable
I own a pair of Titans and I find that they are a great all-around mitt but they don't cut it on the coldest days. I've field tested the Expeditions on a few sub -20C days and I'm impressed by how they're holding up. The wool-blended lining feels really nice on the skin and it definitely keeps the hands warmer than the Titans.

My new mittens
Are awesome. I live in the Colorado mountains and use a tractor (unheated) to plow. My fingers in gloves always got cold. No more with my Dakine mittens! Thank you!

In my honest opinion Dakine makes the best mitts on the market. My hands always USED to get cold, not anymore.
