Great hat in larger surf

I have worn a lot of hats when surfing and love a good trucker hat on the waves are small, but this hat is great when you don’t wanna deal with losing one and larger Surf. It’s definitely high-quality and offers great protection of the ears as well.

not what I expect

the hat looks good but a couple of problems. the visor is too short and the security clip is not working properly. too sad

Love my trucker hat

Using hat as sun protection while wing foiling. Stays on even when crashing. Great fit and well built

SURF TRUCKER HAT

great hat with one huge flaw.... Once the hat is submerged, the foam in the front dome absorbs the salt water and it drips in your eyes constantly. I'm hoping Dakine reads this and corrects this flaw because otherwise the hat is fantastic. it fits great, very comfortable, looks good and will handle wipeouts and duck diving without coming off. and it stays on in high winds for kite and wing surfing. Their other surf hats have a different material and all work great.

Have the buckles improved? I have a couple Dakine hats with buckles that would easily unclip in the water (surfing) and out- I modified one with a sturdier clip, but I would love it if your clips are now sturdier. Do you have a picture of one of the clips?
